Forecast Snow Stability: Little change expected. The thawing and stable snow cover will be very limited, with the few remaining snow patches lingering in high North to East aspects above 700 metres. The mountains will be mostly bare and snow patches will be avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Summit cloud with patchy rain and drizzle will persist throughout the period. Moderate South-South-West winds will steadily freshen through the day and the freezing level will remain above the highest summits. Observed Weather Influences: A day of summit cloud with persistent light rain and drizzle at all elevations, becoming patchy in the afternoon with some bright spells. There was a fresh West-South-West wind and the freezing level stayed above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The thawing and stable snow cover is now very limited with the few remaining snow patches lingering on high North to East aspects above 700 metres. The mountains are mostly bare. The avalanche hazard is Low.
