Forecast Weather Influences: Early evening Thursday, the freezing level lowering to around 700 metres with some light new snow on fresh Westerly winds. These winds will ease becoming Southerly and then South-Westerly and dry conditions are expected. with a slightly rising freezing levels. Observed Weather Influences: The freezing level has been above the summits for nearly 24 hours it has gradually lowered this morning to be zero degrees at 1100 metres around midday. Rain at all levels through this morning accompanied by moderate to fresh Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: A light dusting of new snow arrived in the afternoon these accumulations are not extensive and lie mainly above 950 metres..
