Forecast Snow Stability: The older patchy snow will refreeze becoming very firm and well bonded throughout. A dusting of new snow will be inconsequential. Greatest amounts of snow will be found in higher sheltered North to East facing corries. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight, after some light rain at all levels, the freezing level will drop to around 800 metres with light snow showers in the morning. Gale force winds from the West-North-West throughout the day. Observed Weather Influences: A cloudy but dry day. Freezing levels have been rising throughout the day to above the summits. Winds were very strong, varying from South-West to West-South-Wes. ObservedSnowStability: The majority of the patchy snow cover is thawing and softening but remains well bonded and stable. Greatest amounts are found in high North to East facing corries. The avalanche hazard is Low.
