Forecast Snow Stability: Isolated, shallow and mostly avoidable accumlatons of windslab will develop on steep wind sheltered North to North-East aspects above 800 metres. The old snowpack will generally be well bonded and firm in places. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Strengthening Southerly winds overnight will become gale force by daybreak, veering to Westerly in the afternoon. Snow and rain showers expected during daylight hours. The freezing level will be around 600 metres overnight, rising to summit level by midday before dropping to 600 metres by the end of forecast period. Observed Weather Influences: Overnight showers clearing by morning to give a dry and bright day with light South-Westerly winds. The freezing level was around 800 metres. ObservedSnowStability: There is a light dusting of new snow on all aspects above 700 metres. The old snowpack is generally well bonded, stable and is firm at higher elevations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
