Avalanche Summary

Generally safe avalanche conditions exist. New snow and strong winds throughout the day may create some isolated pockets of wind-drifted snow on the lee sides of ridgelines at upper elevations. If the snow feels hard and hollow or you notice cracking around your feet, you probably found a wind-drifted slope and should approach steep, consequential terrain with caution. Consider moving off steep slopes later in the day if you start sinking past your ankles into wet, unsupportable snow.

Researchers Ian McCammon and Sara Boilen are developing new tools for managing human factors for backcountry skiers and boarders. This survey asks about personal experiences with human factors and will take 7 - 8 minutes to fill out. Link is HERE. Thank you for your help!
