At the upper elevations soft slabs 10 to 30 inches deep persist in some steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones and could be human triggered. Increasing southwest winds will further load these slabs. At the mid elevations isolated pockets of slab up to 18 inches in depth may be triggered by humans in very steep avalanche prone terrain. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations.

Skies will be mostly cloudy or overcast with a chance of mountain snow showers. Temperatures will be in the teens and 20s in the mountains and in the 30s in the valley. Winds will be southerly at 20 miles per hour along the highest ridge lines. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE at the higher elevations (9,000 to 10,500 feet). Pockets of soft slab 10 to 30 inches deep exist and could be human triggered in some very steep avalanche starting zones. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW at the lower elevations.
