Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. Several inches of new snow and strong west winds have loaded a shallow weak unstable snowpack. Humans who venture onto steep slopes could trigger deep hard slab avalanches to the ground. These dangerous hard slabs may fail after a slope has been crossed multiple times or be triggered by the first human to cross a slope. Larger loads such as a snowmachine or groups of skiers , have a greater potential to trigger these avalanches.
