Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe after a good overnight freeze, below-average temperatures, and just a few new inches of new snow. If you were to trigger an avalanche, it would be small and in a drift of new snow on a steep alpine slope.

The Sawatch is favored and could see up to 5 inches of new snow by the end of the day Thursday. Your chances of triggering avalanches will be higher there than in other parts of the forecast area that only received an inch or two of accumulation.
