Snow is falling in the alpine signalling the transition to winter. Regular bulletin updates will start November 1st depending on conditions
Snow is sticking to the ground in high alpine areas. These layers will become the base for our upcoming seasons snowpack.
Potential for avalanche danger exists in high alpine areas with smooth ground cover. There have already been a few reports of avalanches from areas like this (ex. ramp route on Mt. Athabasca).
