Snow is sticking to the ground in high alpine areas. These layers will become the base for our upcoming seasons snowpack.

Avalanche Summary

Potential for avalanche danger exists in high alpine areas with smooth ground cover.  There have already been a few reports of avalanches from areas like this (ex. ramp route on Mt. Athabasca).
