Forecast Snow Stability: The existing consolidated and saturated snowpack, will begin to firm up in the colder temperatures. During the day, shallow amounts of fresh windslab will develop on East to South-East aspects above 800 metres around coire rims, in gully tops and in other wind sheltered locations. These accumulations are not expected to be significant. Windward, scoured aspects at higher elevations will become firm and icy. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: There will be rain overnight, which will clear by morning to occasional, scattered light showers, these showers falling as snow above around 800m during the day. Overnight, freezing level will be above the summits, but will drop to around 800m by mid morning. Strong to very strong South-Westerly winds will veer becoming West-North-Westerlies through the day. Observed Weather Influences: Cloud and drizzle in the morning turned to rain in the afternoon. The freezing level remained well above summits. Winds were fresh, increasing to strong South-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snowpack is saturated, thawing at all levels, and is generally stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
