Forecast Snow Stability: Drifting snow at higher altitudes. Accumulations of unstable windslab will become more widespread on Easterly to Southerly aspects above 1000 metres. Areas most affected will be within steep and convex wind sheltered locations. Unstable cornices will begin to develop on these aspects. Soft accumulations of windslab will be present at the tops of gullies and coire rims on some North facing slopes. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Occasional snow showers on moderate to strong North-Westerly winds. The freezing level will be around 400 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Snow showers throughout the day on moderate North-Westerly winds. By midday the freezing level rose to around 700 metres. ObservedSnowStability: There is a covering of soft snow on all aspects above 600 metres, this gained depth with altitude. Localised accumulations of unstable windslab have developed on Easterly to Southerly aspects. Areas most affected are in steep wind sheltered locations above 1000 metres. Deep snow accumulations have also developed around coire rims and the tops of gullies on some North facing slopes. The avalanche hazard is Low.
