Forecast Snow Stability: During the day, isolated areas of fresh windslab will build on steep, wind sheltered terrain on mainly West aspects above 900 metres. These will be shallow in nature and easily avoidable. The existing snow pack will be generally well bonded and stable throughout, becoming firm above 950 metres. Greatest accumulations will be found above 900 metres in steep wind sheltered locations on North-West to North-East aspects. Cornices will be present on the same aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Gale force South-Westerly winds will back to become light Easterlies by morning. Small amounts of snow falling overnight and during the day above 900 metres. The freezing level will fluctuate around 1000 metres but the snow surface will remain cold due to inversion conditions. Observed Weather Influences: Rain overnight and this morning cleared to leave a dry afternoon. Gale force winds from the South-West. Freezing level was 900 metres at midday. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snow pack is generally stable and well bonded. Greatest accumulations can be found above 900 metres mainly in steep wind sheltered locations on North-West to North-East aspects. Cornices can be found on the same aspects. Below this height, the snow pack is patchy, soft and continues to thaw. The avalanche hazard is Low.
