Stability: poor · Frequency: some
The new snow and wind slabs represent the main danger.
The fresh and older wind slabs can be released easily by a single winter sport participant above the tree line. Mostly avalanches are medium-sized. Avalanches can in very isolated cases be triggered in the old snowpack. Avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep east, north and west facing slopes above approximately 2400 m.
Over a wide area 20 to 40 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall above approximately 1500 m.
The weather conditions will facilitate a gradual settling of the snowpack.
