Early and late morning: Weak layers in the upper part of the snowpack can be released in isolated cases by winter sport participants. Caution is to be exercised in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2400 m. Mostly avalanches are medium-sized. The avalanche prone locations are difficult to recognise. During the day: Especially on rocky east, south and west facing slopes small to medium-sized wet loose snow avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. This also applies on shady slopes below approximately 2600 m. In addition further gliding avalanches are possible. This applies on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.
The surface of the snowpack is frozen, but not to a significant depth and will soften earlier than the day before, especially on sunny slopes below approximately 2800 m. The high temperatures as the day progresses will give rise to increasing softening of the snowpack also on shady slopes below approximately 2600 m. Isolated avalanche prone weak layers exist in the top section of the snowpack especially on shady slopes.
The danger of dry avalanches will decrease gradually. The danger of wet avalanches will persist.
