No new avalanches observed or reported.

Snowpack Summary

A light dusting blankets previously wind-affected surfaces in the alpine. The thin snowpack is quickly facetting with the recent cool temperatures and surface hoar growth is occurring. A sun crust can be found on the South aspects near treeline. 50-80 cm of total snow at treeline throughout the region, with up to 120 cm in loaded alpine features. Below treeline, the snowpack is generally below the threshold for avalanches.

Weather Summary

High pressure remains Monday with ridgetop winds 40-50 kmh from the West. Temperatures will remain at valley bottom, and flurries with only trace accumulations of snow will occur along the divide and West. Cloudy conditions will clear from Lake Louise to the East in the afternoon.

Some light snow developing with an incoming westerly moist flow on Tuesday. 5cm expected in areas like Little Yoho and Kootenay by the end of the day.
