Highlights
Avalanches large enough to bury or injure a rider will remain unlikely on Sunday. Even in low hazard, unstable snow may exist on isolated slopes, so it is always prudent to carry avalanche rescue gear, and practice good travel techniques like only exposing one rider at a time to steep slopes.
Avalanche Discussion
Newberry National Monument hasn't received as much new snow as the Cascade Mountains, and as a result, avalanches that we might associate with new snow remain unlikely. Stormier weather will return to the region by midday on Sunday, and as a result of cloudy skies and cooler temperatures, it is also unlikely that we'll see substantial avalanches associated with melting snow.
