Dangerous avalanche conditions exist today. With ongoing heavy snowfall, natural avalanches are anticipated throughout the day and human triggered avalanches are likely. Traveling in avalanche-prone areas is not recommended. Exercise caution in route selection, avoiding avalanche runout zones, roads, and trails beneath such terrain. The avalanche danger will increase throughout the day as strong winds and heavy snow continue.
The risk is elevated at higher elevations due to a deeper snowpack, while lower elevations, although with less snow, should also adhere to the same safety measures. Lower temperatures allowed this snow to blanket all elevations and aspects.
