The wind slabs of Thursday can be released naturally, in particular on very steep slopes. In isolated cases avalanches can be released in deep layers reach medium size. Even single winter sport participants can release avalanches in some places. These avalanche prone locations are to be found in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. These avalanche prone locations are barely recognisable, even to the trained eye. Until the temperature drops numerous dry and moist avalanches are to be expected.

10 to 20 cm of snow fell in the last two days. The sometimes strong wind has transported the new snow. In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on a weakly bonded old snowpack. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack in all aspects. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. At low and intermediate altitudes less snow than usual is lying. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas and at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions a little snow is lying.

Gradual decrease in danger of moist avalanches as the temperature drops. The weather conditions will facilitate a gradual change towards better conditions.
