Isolated avalanches can be triggered in extremely steep terrain. Most releases are mostly small. Risks of falls and injuries outweigh those of being buried in snow masses.

The old snowpack is superficially melt-freeze encrusted and generally hardened. The crust softens up slightly during the daytime hours, particularly on sunny slopes. South-facing slopes are bare of snow up to high altitudes. Only limited information from outlying terrain is currently available to the Avalanche Warning Services.

Still lots of sunshine in the mountains to start with, particularly towards the south, and outstanding visibility in the dry air at high-altitudes. From Bavaria and further north, low-lying clouds will push their way over the Bregenzerwald borders. In the afternoon hours cloud cover will spread further south. Particularly the summits of the Allgau Alps and Bregenzerwald will become shrouded in fog, here and there are few snowflakes can be expected. At all altitudes, temperatures will drop measurably, strong-velocity northwesterly winds will sharpen the subjective feeling of cold further. At 2000m: descending from -3 to -11 degrees; at 3000m: from -7 to -15 degrees.

No significant change anticipated. Low avalanche danger will continue.
