Gliding avalanches and moist snow slides. New snow and wind slabs at elevated altitudes.
On steep grassy slopes medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large gliding avalanches are to be expected. Sunny slopes, high altitudes: As a consequence of solar radiation small dry snow slides are to be expected. Low and intermediate altitudes: As the penetration by moisture increases small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist avalanches are possible. Border with Ribagorça and Pallars, Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls: The new snow and wind slabs can be released in some cases at high altitude. Backcountry touring calls for meticulous route selection. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.
5 to 15 cm of snow has fallen above approximately 2200 m. Evening: Some snow will fall until the evening. Saturday: The weather will be sunny at times. High altitudes: The sometimes moderate wind will transport the new snow. Low and intermediate altitudes: The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze and will soften during the day. Shady slopes intermediate and high altitudes: Towards its base, the snowpack is weak. At intermediate altitudes there are 150 to 200 cm of snow, and even more in some localities.
Sunday: The avalanche danger will persist.
