Avalanche Activity

The fresh wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence.

More recent wind slabs have formed especially in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. This applies in particular above approximately 2400 m. Wind slabs can as before be released by a single winter sport participant and reach large size in isolated cases.

Snowpack Structure

The strong wind has transported some snow. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded still only poorly. In its middle, the snowpack is largely stable. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
