Forecast Snow Stability: While softening the patchy spring snow pack will be generally well bonded and stable. It will remain softer on all aspects where it is exposed to direct sunlight. Above 800 metres, steeper shaded Northerly aspects will be firmer. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: It will be a cloudier day tomorrow, remaining dry. The winds will be generally fresh South-West. The freezing level will remain above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a dry and bright day with strong South-South West winds. The freezing level was above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The snow pack is well bonded and stable throughout with widespread surface softening, especially on sun exposed aspects. There is firmer snow on steep, shaded North-West and North aspects at higher elevations. The snow distribution is patchy on most aspects with many hillsides bare. The avalanche hazard is Low.
