Avalanche Summary

The most likely place to trigger an avalanche is on a wind-drifted slope directly below ridgetop. Avalanches in drifted snow can break several feet deep in the snowpack. Tuesday's wind and snow will continue to increase the size of these avalanches. For safer avalanche conditions, choose less wind-affected slopes and slopes that don't end in terrain traps.
