The snowpack is DANGEROUS and UNSTABLE. Soft slabs two to four feet in depth lie on weak layers of faceted snow and have stepped down to the ground. Numerous natural and human triggered avalanches were observed yesterday. Natural activity in unskied unopen areas of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort included Riverton Bowl, Hoops Gap, Tower 3 Chute, Alta Chute and Surveyers Rock. On Teton Pass a dog was reported to have died in an avalanche on the end of Titty Mouse ridge. This event occured in the same area where a skier died four years ago to the date. Other avalanches three to five feet in depth were triggered during avalanche hazard reduction efforts at the resort and on Mount Glory. Visiblity restricted observations in other areas. The instablities appear to be on an variety of aspects and to extend from the upper elevations into the upper portion of the lower elevations. Warming temperatures today will add to the instability. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY.
