Highlights
Pockets of new soft slab up to one foot in depth will be forming in wind loaded starting zones. These new slabs will form on slick old snow surfaces and are likely to be easily triggered or release naturally on steep slopes as the volume of these slabs builds. Loose snow sluffs are also likely in steep terrain. The hazard will increase as the day progresses. Use caution and avoid terrain traps, cliff areas and steep wind loaded avalanche paths.
