Avalanche Summary

A Special Avalanche Advisory is in effect for Ruby and Ragged Mountains through Sunday. You can easily trigger an avalanche on many steep slopes, and they can grow large enough to bury you. You can trigger these avalanches from a distance or from the bottom of slopes. Be aware of steep slopes above you and other groups nearby. Conservative decision-making is essential for traveling safely in the backcountry right now.
