Avalanche Activity

The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs represent the main danger.

The wind slabs of yesterday can be released by a single winter sport participant above approximately 2000 m. In some cases the avalanches are medium-sized. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in all aspects and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. In particular on rocky sunny slopes small and medium-sized natural avalanches are possible.

Snowpack Structure

The sometimes strong wind has transported the new snow.
