The new snow of the weekend is lying on surface hoar in some places in all aspects above approximately 2200 m. The fresh snow and the wind slabs represent the main danger. They are to be found in particular above approximately 2200 m. The fresh wind slabs can especially at their margins be released, even by a single winter sport participant. These places are difficult to recognise. Several medium-sized dry avalanches are possible as a consequence of the moderate westerly wind. In all aspects as well as in all altitude zones less snow than usual is lying. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information.

Up to 25 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since yesterday above approximately 1000 m. In some localities 5 cm of snow, but less in some localities, will fall on Monday above approximately 1800 m. The new snow of the weekend is lying on surface hoar in some places above approximately 2200 m. In particular in gullies and bowls snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Individual weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack in particular on rocky shady slopes. Below approximately 2500 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. In all regions in all altitude zones from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

The avalanche danger will persist. As a consequence of the solar radiation, the likelihood of dry and wet avalanches being released will increase a little in particular on very steep sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m.
