Avalanche Activity

The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on west to north to southeast facing wind-loaded slopes above approximately 2600 m.

The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs are in some cases prone to triggering. They can be released by a single winter sport participant. This also applies at a distance from ridgelines. The wind slabs are clearly recognisable to the trained eye. Individual moist snow slides are possible, in the event of solar radiation especially on extremely steep sunny slopes.

Snowpack Structure

Hardly any snow is lying. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
