Forecast Snow Stability: The majority of the snow will be soft but generally stable with consolidation continuing to take place in the milder conditions. Localised accumulations of moderately bonded snow will persist in a few steeper, wind sheltered locations on South-West through North-West to North-East aspects above 1000 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: No precipitation forecast. Moderate Southerly winds, easing to become light during the late afternoon. Cooler overnight, then the air temperature will warm up during the day with the freezing level well above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with mainly bright and sunny conditions. Winds strengthened to become moderate, generally Southerly or South-Westerly at summit level. Freezing level rose to 1000 metres by late morning, continuing to rise through the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: Localised moderately bonded windslab persists in steeper, wind sheltered locations on South-West through North-West to North-East aspects above 900 metres. Sharply defined corrie rims, steep gully tops and similarly shaped features are most affected. Elsewhere the shallower snow is soft but mostly stable. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
