Avalanche Activity

The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs represent the main danger.

The fresh snow and the wind slabs are poorly bonded with the old snowpack in all aspects. New snow and wind slabs can be released, mostly by large loads in isolated cases. In all aspects and on steep slopes individual medium-sized avalanches are possible as a consequence of the new snow.

Snowpack Structure

The new snow and wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack. On steep south facing slopes thus far only a little snow is lying. Gradual decrease in danger as the temperature drops.
