Chic-Choc Mountains.
Snow cover is generally below the avalanche threshold, or crusted. Winter is slow to set in on the Chic-Chocs.
Enjoy the holiday season!

No new avalanches have been observed or reported. Please share your observations at [email protected] or via the Mountain Information Network.
Minimal, crusty snow everywhere in the mountains. The snowpack varies in height from 0 to 35 cm at mid-mountain. At and below treeline, many areas are now uncovered, and there is no longer enough snow to produce avalanches at these elevations. In the alpine, isolated depressions and concavities retain a certain amount of snow.
