Heavy rain has impacted the North Shore mountains in the past 24 hours. Rain may have transitioned to snow on some of the highest peaks overnight, depositing up to 20 cm of heavy snow.
The mid and lower snowpack are generally strong and well-bonded.
Typical treeline snow depths range from 100 to 150 cm, and thin quickly below treeline, especially on south-facing slopes.
