Avalanche Activity

As the temperature drops there will be a decrease in the avalanche danger.

As a consequence of falling temperatures, the natural activity of moist and wet avalanches will gradually decrease. In particular on steep slopes and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain individual small avalanches are possible. Weak layers in the old snowpack can still be released in isolated cases on steep northwest, north and northeast facing slopes. In all aspects a low avalanche danger will prevail.

Snowpack Structure

Towards its surface, the snowpack is moist. In particular on steep slopes and on sunny slopes more small and medium-sized avalanches are possible until the temperature drops. As a consequence of low temperatures the snowpack will consolidate. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack on shady slopes.

Tendency

In all aspects a low avalanche danger will prevail.
