Highlights

The snowpack will be generally stable.

Avalanche problems

  • Persistent weak layers

    • Above 2,300 m

Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be generally stable.

The snowpack will be generally well bonded. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in extremely steep terrain. Below approximately 2000 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

Snowpack Structure

Only a little snow is lying in all altitude zones. The snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. The small quantity of fresh snow of last week and the scattered small wind slabs have bonded quite well with the old snowpack in all aspects.

Tendency

The weather conditions will foster a strengthening of the snowpack.
