Monitor changing conditions as you gain elevation and shift aspect.
No new avalanches have been reported, however, observations are currently limited.
By Monday afternoon up to 25 cm of new snow may have fallen over wind affected surfaces at upper elevations from recent southwest winds. Rising temperatures and rain will wet the recent snowfall to around 1800 m.
A persistent weak layer sits below, present as crust and facets at treeline and above, and a combination of crust and surface hoar in sheltered features and lower elevations.
The mid/lower snowpack is generally well settled and strong. Snowpack depth ranges between 150 to 250 cm at treeline elevations.
Cornices are reported to be large and looming. Be mindful of them overhead or when travelling on ridge tops.

Mix of sun and clouds. 1 mm of rain at treeline. 50 km/h southwest ridgetop wind. Treeline temperature 6 °C. Freezing level 2700 m.
