Kananaskis.
The skiing seems to have suffered from the winds recently. Travel is very good on all aspects and elevations right now making longer link-ups an enjoyable way to spend a day.
Saturday afternoon the expected storm moved in and was snowing hard around Buller at 1300.
Saturday night the temps will drop to -10 and winds will mostly stay light out of the SW.
8cm expected by Sunday evening up fingers crossed for 25cm by Tuesday evening.
No new avalanches observed today.
Cooler temps all day did not see the previous nights crust break down. Some new snow is expected over the next 48 hours which will improve the skiing. This snow will likely poorly bond to the underlying crust in most places so watch for loose dry events if amounts are more than expected. On northern aspects, the snowpack is generally well settled with some isolated windslabs in alpine terrain. Watch to see what the winds do with the new forecasted amounts.
