Forecast Snow Stability: The patchy old snow will be well bonded with surface layers starting to firm up at higher elevations. There is the potential for a light covering of fresh snow on the highest summits along the northern boundary of the forecast area with very shallow, inconsequential accumulations forming on East to South aspects above 1000 metres. Largest areas of old snow will be found above 900 metres, especially in steeper, wind sheltered locations on North to East aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Mainly dry on the mountains in the southern half of the area with the potential for very light snowfall on the highest mountains situated on the northern boundary. Moderate, becoming fresh North-North-Westerly winds. Freezing level lowering from above the summits overnight to 1050 metres during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Light drizzle when under the low cloud cover. Moderate South-Westerly winds at the highest elevations. Freezing level over the summits. ObservedSnowStability: Surface layers of the remaining patchy snow have softened in the mild conditions. Deposits are well consolidated and stable throughout. Greatest amounts are to be found above 900 metres, especially in steeper, wind sheltered locations on North to East aspects. A few small cornices remain above 1100 metres on these aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
