Forecast Snow Stability: Snow stability will be generally good. The old snowpack will remain firm throughout but with some softening during the afternoon. Most accumulations lie on Northerly to Easterly aspects above 850 metres. Especially in the northern sector of the forecast area in high plateau areas and coire back walls. Fresh accumulations will be confined to wind sheltered places such as coire rims and gully tops but will not be extensive and be avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Remaining cold overnight, freezing at glen levels.The freezing level will gradually rising to 700 metres by the end of the day. Winds, moderate to light in strength will be North-North-Westerly becoming South-Westerly by around midday. Some snowfall continuing Sunday evening but thereafter it will be mostly dry. Observed Weather Influences: A cold day with brisk Northerly winds and snow showers, sometimes intense, from midday to Glen levels. Summit temperatures of -4 deg centigrade during the day.
