Forecast Snow Stability: Areas of unstable wet snow will develop as the freezing level rises. Wet snow avalanches are likely on steep North, North-East and East aspects above 900m. The snowpack will start to consolidate during Monday afternoon. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.
Forecast Weather Influences: It will be a dry night with the freezing level around 900 metres however on Monday morning there will be rain at all levels. Winds will increase from the South-East during the morning. Observed Weather Influences: There were some snow showers overnight above 850 metres with moderate South-Westerly summit winds. ObservedSnowStability: Areas of unstable windslab are present above 1000 metres. Greatest accumulations are on steep North, North-East and East aspects. Below 900 metres the snowpack is gradually thawing and consolidating. Evidence of recent avalanche activity observed on a North aspect at 1200m. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
