Snowpack Structure

Between Koralpe and Wechsel region, only minor new snow. On Saturday in Wechsel: 15 cm, in Koralpe up to 5 cm is expected, amid wind impact. Fresh snowdrift patches will form which can cover the surface hoar.

Weather Synopsis

South of the Niedere Tauern, less snowfall. Strong NW winds, gusts to 100 km/hr. In the south, the northerly foehn wind can disperse the clouds, sunshine is possible. At 2000m: -7 degrees.

From Koralpe to Wechsel region, low avalanche danger. Nevertheless, at high altitudes caution is urged where fresh snowdrifts have been generated: they can trigger as a small slab.
