Avalanche Activity

Small avalanches are still possible in particular during the day.

The wind slabs have formed in particular above approximately 2600 m. The fresh wind slabs are mostly very small and can only be released in isolated cases. In particular in these regions less snow than usual is lying. In particular at low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.

Snowpack Structure

The old snowpack is largely stable; its surface consists of loosely bonded snow. The small quantity of fresh snow and the mostly small wind slabs have bonded well with the old snowpack. On sunny slopes as well as at low and intermediate altitudes hardly any snow is lying.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
