Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will soften in the mild and wet conditions. Although some minor wet surface instabilities are expected stability will remain generally good; however, remaining cornices will be prone to collapse in the mild conditions. Any fresh deposits in the afternoon will not be significant. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be a mild night and morning with the freezing level well above the summits. Through the afternoon the freezing level will drop to around 1200 metres. Overnight rain will become showery though the day and turn to wet snow above 1200 metres during the afternoon. Strong winds will be from the West. Observed Weather Influences: A dry morning followed by some light snow showers during the afternoon. Freezing level rising to around 900 metres through the day. Strengthening South-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The main body of the snowpack is old, hard and refrozen This is covered in a very shallow layer of soft fresh snow. Stability is generally good. The avalanche hazard is Low.
