However caution should be shown in the alpine where colder temperatures may slow down the stabilisation process. In these areas, it may still be possible to trigger avalanches in the dry slabs.

Den vindtransporterte snøen fra de siste dagene er trolig godt stabilisert. Vær likevel oppmerksom i høyfjellet i indre strøk, der kaldere temperaturer kan forsinke stabiliseringen. Her kan det fortsatt være mulig å løse ut et og annet lite skred i den tørre snøen.

Siden lørdag har snøbyger gitt et lag med nysnø i fjellet, samtidig som vind fra vest har omfordelt den på utsatte steder. På målstasjonen på Sisovatnet, 665 moh, har snødybden økt med 40 cm siden lørdag. Den nye snøen har lagt seg oppå et eldre snødekke som er preget av mye mildvær og regn høyt til fjells. Nysnø ned til 100 moh til tross, en må over 300 - 400 moh for å finne skiføre.
