Wind slabs and wet snow represent the main danger.

As a consequence of the rain moist and wet avalanches are possible at any time, but they will be mostly small. As a consequence of a strong wind from westerly directions, sometimes deep wind slabs formed at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. These can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases in particular on very steep north, east and south facing slopes. In particular in high Alpine regions these avalanche prone locations are more prevalent. Careful route selection is advisable. Several small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized natural dry avalanches are possible as a consequence of new snow and strong wind, in particular above approximately 2500 m.

10 to 20 cm of snow has fallen since yesterday above approximately 2500 m. In all altitude zones only a little snow is now lying. The snowpack is largely stable and its surface consists of loosely bonded snow lying on a strong crust.

The danger of moist and wet avalanches will decrease gradually.
