Forecast Snow Stability: Poor stability on steep North-West through North to East aspects above 900m. New windslab, underlain by weak cold-induced layers, will gain depth at gully exits and the top of steep coire backwalls. Early new cornice development anticipated over steeper lee slopes. Better stability at lower elevations. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: Fresh South-East winds becoming strong South-Westerly during the day. Snow showers throughout, turning to rain at lower levels from mid-morning. Cold overnight then a progressive rise in freezing level to above summit level by early afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: Very cold especially in heavily shaded areas; milder where sun-exposed. Only a trace of overnight snowfall. Very light variable winds becoming light South-Easterly later. ObservedSnowStability: No new drifting at the time of reporting. Pockets of cold-induced weak snow are present on steep North-West through North to East aspects above 900m. Fluctuating temperatures are bringing early consolidation to snow on most sun-exposed locations. Good stability at lower altitude and on less steep ground everywhere. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
