Highlights

The avalanche danger is generally LOW today.

The avalanche danger may increase if the snow becomes overly wet and sloppy. If you find yourself in deep wet snow, definitely avoid being on or below steep slopes.

NOTE: A fairly dramatic warming trend through the end of the week may make the snowpack become unstable. It's possible we could see natural slab avalanches break into old weak snow near the ground by this weekend.

Snow and Weather

Current Conditions: Overnight temperatures dipped below freezing at most locations. You'll find stout melt freeze crusts on the surface in most locations this morning which will rapidly soften during the daytime heating.

Mountain Weather: Ridgetop temperatures will get into the mid 40s today. The warming trend continues through the rest of the week with warmer temperatures on Friday.
