Mountain temperatures are 5 to 10 degrees cooler than yesterday morning, and mostly stable snow exists at the mid and upper elevations. In very steep terrain at the lower elevations, periods of light rain and warming temperatures will keep the potential for shallow wet loose slides alive.

The warm southwest flow is forecast to bring a series of disturbances over the region. A period of light to moderate snow is likely at the higher elevation overnight. Rain showers are expected in the valleys. Another period of enhanced upper elevation snowfall and valley rain is likely in the afternoon or evening. Skies will be cloudy. Snowfall amounts of several inches are expected from each of these disturbances. Another 0.3 inches of rain is likely in the valleys. Temperatures will remain warm and be in the upper 20s and 30s on the summits, 30s and 40s at the mid elevations and in the mid-30s to 50 degrees in the valleys. Winds will continue to be from the west to southwest and will decrease to 5 to 10 miles per hour.Wet loose and wet slab avalanches are possible in steep terrain. The general avalanche at all elevations is expected to be MODERATE. Monitor conditions and avoid steep slopes if significant softening of the snow surface exist.
