Highlights

There still isn't enough snow in the Abajos for over snow recreation. Trailheads are dry, and people are still driving wheeled vehicles up North Creek. Snow cover ranges from about 6" at Camp Jackson and in lower North Creek, to up to 18" on upper elevation, northerly aspects. This snow is quite weak, and will form an unstable base for future snow loads. For now, human triggered avalanches are unlikely. We'll update this summary as conditons warrant.

Manti-La Sal National Forest Recreation program manager Brian Murdock helped me install this tripod near Abajo Peak for a new wind station. This brings us one step closer to getting reliable wind data!
