Snowpack Summary
Chinooks melted most of the October snow before November 15 below 1400m and in sun exposed areas to ridgetop. At treeline about 50cm of moist snow is found on the ground in shaded areas with recent accumulations of about 20 cm above this. In the Alpine some of the October accumulations never melted and now form a firm basal crust in isolated areas.
Avalanche Summary
A few small moist surface events were observed mid November with the Chinooks. Nearby areas have observed some activity relating to the basal crusts at higher elevations.
